Digital driver’s license

Digital driver’s license

Rumor has it that Iowa will be the first state in the United States that will test digital driver’s license. The good thing about this digital driver’s license is that it will be like any other application you have on your mobile phone and you will be able to access it really fast and easy.

This smart application will be tested in June this year and what is also great about it is that twenty states have also decided to do it. That information is not yet confirmed, but it looks like they have shown some interest.

MorphoTrust is the company that is based in Massachusetts and this company is behind this amazing technology project. They said that this license is definitely more safe and secure than the actual plastic version.

A representative from DOT in Iowa said that this is not just a plain image of a driver license that you can find in your mobile phone. He said that when we open this application, it will start communicating with us and will try to verify that the device is authorized to show the license.

We all know how easy it is to lose your driving license and then you have to take a new one again. What is absolutely fantastic about the digital one is that it is enough to just be the person in the picture and you can easily be verified as the owner of that license.

Digital licenses are absolutely amazing idea and they present the beginning and a step forward eliminating the need to have your wallet with you wherever you go.
