Oru Bay +

Oru Bay +

Every gadget design for water must be useful and fun. The real question is, how much it is fun! You may remember of Oru Kayak, a kayak that folds into a case. It was lightweight and because it’s folding capability, it was very easy for carrying. Now, there is a new version, Oru Bay+! It is an upgraded version of original gadget.

The best feature is still its folding capability. It folds in origami-like manner. When folded up, it has a size of 32 x 28 x 13 inches, which means you can carry it in a car, boat or even on your back! Almost all other improvements were inspired by fan modification. So, Oru Bay+ has a new ergonomic chair. It is made from foam and it offers you an adjustable back support and a high-position backrest. As you know, original kayaks offer a limited lumbar support. If you want more, you get! This new version offers you a waterproof stowing bag, ratchet buckles made from stainless steel for smother assembly and deck hatch that allows you to carry extra equipment. You also get and pair of straps, made from rubber, on the deck.

Assembled boat has a cockpit that measures 16 x 30 inches. The whole boat is 12 feet long and more than 2 feet wide. It can support riders up to 300 pounds. If we know that people who like these boats are ‘’skinny’’, this is almost irrelevant. Maybe the only drawback with this gadget is its price. It is $1.495, which is a lot of money for a water gadget like this. Luckily, the build quality is on a high level.
